As you may have seen, here at Incube HQ, we have been reimagining space with the launch of Cubes, and bringing flexibility to the built world.
Cubes are smart, modular partition wall panels that click and connect to rapidly create rooms and dividing walls that can be easily reconfigured over time. We launched in the summer of 2020 to meet the rapidly growing demand for more adaptable workspaces and maximise the value of your real estate.
Our mission is to make a step-change in the way we design and build space for the future of work, creating an adaptable and sustainable future for your office builds.
Cubes v1 launched in June 2020 with Bosch at their co-working space, the London Connectory. The goal was to help increase their meeting room capacity. The first set off Cubes panels arrived flat-pack on-site at 9am and the installation team were out by midday with the Cubes meeting room in use that same afternoon.
Since then we have been busy speaking to landlords, developers, designers and architects, putting pilots into place and receiving valuable feedback. Our own team of architects and structural engineers have been working to update the Cubes design, to improve the suitability of the product in making workspaces, adaptable and sustainable whilst reducing costs.
Introducing Cubes v1.2
25% thinner,
32% lighter,
25% more cost-effective

Standalone Structural Stability
Cubes v1.2 has been streamlined thanks to the efforts that have gone into improving the stability of panels in any standalone configuration. For added stability in a much wider range of configurations, we add weighted plates were necessary to the bottom boxes of panels. The required weights are calculated by our proprietary, stability algorithm, designed by our structural engineering team.
This is key in ensuring Cubes panels can be adapted into any configuration of rooms or partitions to suit the current and ongoing needs of your workspace.
With fewer parts, Cubes are also faster to manufacturer and install, generate less waste during manufacturing and have a lower carbon footprint. Eradicating waste generated on-site from fit-outs is a large part of our mission to reimagine space and work towards a more sustainable future.
Improved Acoustic Performance
Cubes smart modular partitions, enable agile layouts for flexibility, without compromising on privacy or healthy airflow. In version 1.2 we have taken feedback and improved acoustic performance for Cubes used to create meeting rooms. Balancing ambient sound between stillness and activity is important in providing a productivity space free of disruptions and anxiety. Our Cubes, smart modular walls come with the option of sound absorption panels that can be customised to match your space uses & design. Cubes sound panels come in 2 thicknesses providing a decibel drop of up to 27dB. Further baffling blades and sound masking options can be used to provide the best solution for your space.
Use a mix of panels to create a space that is multifunctional, space-saving and adaptable. Panels include whiteboards, sound-absorbing panels, shelving, windows and more. All can be customised to suit your space and can be changed with a different panel at any time. Realise you need extra whiteboard space, no problem, add a whiteboard panel. Panels can be added to both sides allowing for greater customisation and functional use.

CubeOS
CubeOS is our proprietary underlying technology layer, which aggregates data from the inbuilt space utilisation and environmental sensors in Cubes, to provide insights about how your space is being used and recommendations on how it can be optimised to adapt to meet ongoing changes.
CubeOS gives you a smart space out of the box without the need for a specialist. With Cubes, you get a dashboard which shows insights around space usage, can integrate with existing sensors and IoT devices to provide controls and even automate workflows. This can also be shown on your existing dashboard or occupier app meaning now changes to how things are done, just more insights.
